For more than two decades, Jay Wesley Olson has worked in the professional beauty industry, perfecting the client experience in the salon, standing on stages as an educator and platform artist, leading as a salon owner and being a global face for major beauty brands. As a founding member of Pulp Riot hair color, Jay embraced independent education and authentic artistry with an expertise in hair color.

Now that he’s joined the R+Co team as a member of the R+COLOR Collective, Jay will continue to inspire, educate and connect with stylists and salon owners around the globe, collaborating with the extended team of artists to develop hair color trends and techniques, and bring the industry—and beyond—closer to The World of R+Co.

Renée Valerie Radiou was born and raised in the beautiful Sydney, Australia where she started her career in Hairdressing and Hair Education. Renée now resides in NYC where she is the Vice President of Color Education for R+COLOR.

Teaching and sharing knowledge globally throughout the 20 years Renée has been in the industry has truly given her an ever-evolving bank of inspiration and creativity derived from teaching in countries such as Vietnam, Taiwan, Chile, Mexico, Canada, England, Australia & the USA. Elevating the hairdressing industry is a true passion of hers and Renée believes through education and amazing products this is possible.

In a journey that spans the globe and the course of 21+ years, Kandasamy has acquired a disciplined mastery of color technique, trend forecasting, product development, and education implementation.

Ashley is one of the most sought-after hair stylists in the industry. Her light-handed approach to hair and a penchant for braids and a natural aesthetic is a must-have for clients. Ashley is also a contributor to the beauty and cosmetics juggernaut, Violet Grey.

Jermaine has been licensed since 2010, receiving his education in San Antonio at Paul Mitchell, the school. He became an instructor a year later and spent 2 years in a close friend’s salon. Jermaine moved to the Dallas area after receiving his educators license to teach at Paul Mitchell the School Arlington. After 7 years with Paul Mitchell, Jermaine dream of educating salon professionals and clients came true at Form Hair Salon and Education in Dallas where he takes clients behind the chair and serves as the Director of Education.

Haley is a Seattle-based hairstylist and the founder of Valentine Collective Salon. With over a decade of experience behind the chair, Haley is passionate about elevating the industry and sharing her expertise.

Throughout her career, Haley has had the privilege of working alongside some of the industry's top talent, styling hair for prestigious events like the SAG Awards, Oscars, and InStyle. She’s also highly skilled in bridal and event styling, with her most recent work featured in GQ magazine.

Stephen is a Dallas native currently based in the vibrant Bishop Arts District. Since entering the industry in 2009, Stephen has specialized in cutting + Styling, drawing inspiration from the world of fashion.

Constantly exploring the the latest trends and revisiting past styles, he applies these influences to create unique looks for his clients. His extensive travels and exposure to diverse cutltures have futher enriched his craft, allowing him to seamlessly integrate a variety of styles.

Jimmy Hillman is co-owner of Concrete Treehouse Salon based in Portland, Oregon. He was licensed in San Francisco, CA at the Cinta Aveda Institute. After graduating he started an apprenticeship with Vidal Sassoon based training. Soon after that, he moved to Portland to continue his apprenticeship, which then consisted of a French Cutting Technique. He has continued doing hair for 10+ years professionally in Portland and is continuously motivated to learn from and work along with other passionate individuals.

Remy Awan began his career as a hairdresser over 21 years ago and is the Co-Founder of Red Feather Salon in McLean, Virginia. Remy has a true passion and enthusiasm for sharing his knowledge and craft with the next generation of hairdressers. Remy has trained with some of the leading industry experts at Sassoon, Dessange and ZGAT; where he honed his precision cutting and coloring skills.

Remy was one of only 25 finalists chosen over 130,000 entries worldwide in Behind the Chair’s OneShot Award in 2016 in precision hair category. He repeated his feat again in 2021 and his work has been published in multiple magazines.

Joshua McMichen a former United States Amphibious Reconnaissance Marine began his hairdressing career in 2008. He is the founder and CEO of Shearious Salon since 2011 located in the heart of Milton, Georgia.

Josh has trained with many great hairdressers and companies such as the Vidal Sassoon Academy in Santa Monica and Horst Rechelbacher of Aveda where his love for precision haircutting grew. Josh gains his inspiration from music, learning about different cultures and hairdressers.

Nancy started out in the fashion world and soon discovered the similarities to hair. She is the creative director and owner of Lumine Salons located in Kansas City, Missouri and has been doing hair for over 20 years. Nancy has a keen eye to perfect and customize each haircut and color service perfectly to balance and enhance the individual's features.

She loves creating transformational cuts and big changes for her clients. From razor shags, French bobs to natural, lived in styles and color. Nancy has traveled extensively teaching other hairdressers cutting and coloring techniques and methods assisting in bringing their skill set to the next level.

Raquel began her career in hairdressing 15 years ago and from a very young age expressed a strong interest in fashion, makeup, and editorial shoots. Raquel has trained and worked with some of the world-renowned beauty industry icons such as Efi Davies, Richard Mannah and Cos Sakas.

During this time Raquel recognized her love for helping others and she began teaching haircutting techniques to help other hairdressers bring their skills to the next level. When it comes to her signature look, Raquel loves all types of curly hair providing her clients with a cool girl vibe that is effortless, natural and lived-in.

Sasha Zoghi started her career in the beauty industry in 1996 when she graduated from the Aveda Institute. She currently is the Co-Founder of Revolution Salon in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Before opening her own salon, Sasha was teaching for a global beauty brand where she traveled coast to coast, inspiring stylists with the latest trends in advanced haircutting, and styling and was a platform artist at industry events.

Sasha has also styled for Refinery29 and InStyle Magazine, as well as traveled to Cannes, France to style for a private fashion event. She is a staple for backstage at New York and Paris Fashion week ever season, working with designers like Charlotte Ronson, Chloe Sevigny, Christian Siriano, Helmut Lang, and Hakan Akkaya. Her most recent highlight was working alongside Garren at Anna Sui.

Ania’s unbridled enthusiasm for education, coupled with her standout talent in hairdressing made her a natural fit to join the R+Co Team as an educator in 2015. She’s taken numerous technically advanced classes, including Bumble and Bumble in NYC, Aveda color classes in Chicago and balayage and hair painting classes around the US.

Ania cites Sam McKnight, Christiaan, James Pecis, Dennis Lanni and Eugene Souleiman at hairdressers who influence her in her work. She also draws upon fashion houses like Ann Demuelemeester, Chloe, Dries Van Noten, Givenchy and Maison Margiela for inspiration.

Shep Wolsey began his career in hairdressing over 20 years ago, after graduating Cosmetology school and moving to Atlanta to work at the prestigeous Van Michael Salon. In 2001, Shep decided to open his own salon, Shep Studio, in Provo, Utah.

Continuing education is part of Shep’s DNA, and he has trained extensively at the Vidal Sassoon Academy in Los Angeles and San Francisco, Bumble and Bumble and Redken in NYC and Toni & Guy in Dallas. He gains inspiration from his many mentors and the elements of architecture in a great haircut.

Eric Hauck discovered his love for hair in 1997 while he was teaching English in Japan after meeting Swedish hairstylist, Johan Bergelin. Once he returned to the states, Eric began his apprenticeship which then led him to move to NYC where he started to work at Bumble and Bumble. Eric fell in love with razor cutting while studying under Howard McLaren at the Bumble and Bumble academy. This is where his teaching career flourished, traveling both internationally and domestically for many years.

Bobby, Co-founder of Maverick House in NYC, is known for his artistry, technical mastery, and general goofiness. He is a highly sought-after colorist and stylist for the fashion and music industry, having worked with such notable commercial clients as Versace and Ana Sui. His work has been featured in Vogue.com, Nylon Magazine, Oyster Magazine, Mode and American Express Style.

Originally from NYC, Robert began his career at Garren New York. First appointed to assist Garren himself, he was quickly promoted to stylist, earning a chair at the prestigious salon. Robert loves the classics of hairdressing. He enjoys creating big, glamorous hair and draws influence from old Cosmo Magazine covers and Victoria's Secret models.

He also gains inspiration from photographers Steven Meisel, Steven Klein, Herb Ritts and Bruce Weber. Robert's work has appeared on international campaigns for Dolce and Gabbana, Givenchy, Valentino, Italian Vogue and many, many more.

With a decade of experience behind the chair and five years of experience in color and styling education, Sarah is a hair color specialist based in Northeastern Pennsylvania. She is a passionate educator and salon owner, helping stylists not only at her salon, but any salon she steps foot in, refine their skills and build confidence in advanced hair coloring techniques.

Sarah specializes in vivid hair colors and complex color corrections. Through her expertise, creativity, and passion for education, Sarah continues to inspire stylists to push boundaries and perfect their craft. When she’s not in the salon or in the field educating, Sarah embraces life outside of the beauty industry. Tommy is a second-generation hair stylist and colorist, with over 30 years of experience behind the chair and 13 years in business management and ownership. Tommy has educated at major conference across the U.S and Canada.

He continues to attend classes and seminars to grow both personally and professionally, bringing new ideas and innovations back to the salon. He researches diligently for the newest and greatest developments to stay ahead of the ever growing beauty industry.

Kimberly is a seasoned artist who has been elevating her craft since 2002 with a resume to prove it. After college, she followed her true calling to the beauty industry. Her 20 years of experience behind the chair have paved the way for many opportunities, including several New York Fashion weeks, as well as working alongside some of the industry's top stylists.

A passion for style, hair structure and integrity, she attended chemistry classes, in addition to completing master's programs for Color, Cutting, and Styling. She has been inspiring other stylists through education for over 17 years. Kimberly is a Pittsburgh native who is passionate about education and looks forward to cocreating a style with guests who she has the honor of styling behind the chair.

Growing up in her father's salon, Jacqueline fell in love with this industry at a very young age. 18 years later that love and passion still burns bright. For Jacqueline, hairdressing always goes deeper than just the hair... it’s not just about the hair but it’s about the hearts and lives that she can touch.

Her main goal behind the chair is to not only enhance her client's beauty by customizing their haircut and color, but also bringing out their inner beauty and help them be confident in their own skin. She feels the same way about educating. She is just as passionate helping hairdressers grow, becoming more confident and successful.

Jacqueline has traveled the world educating and doing hair. From NYFW, Miami Swim Week, to being on a big stage to small intimate salon classes. She has won various hairdressing awards throughout her career including Hair Colorist of the Year. “I will never stop learning and hope I can share my knowledge and help to inspire other hairdressers to be the best they can be!”

Kelly has been a hairdresser since 1999, and the majority of those years have been spent educating and sharing her love and passion of hair color. She has been very lucky to travel all over the US sharing that love. One of her favorite sayings is that “one who learns most, is from teaching others”. She feels like continued education will always keep you moving. Kelly gets her inspiration from her peers, family, music and art. She is a well-rounded hairdresser but specializes in blonding and corrective color.

Amy Trianoski, R+COLOR National Educator and Color Specialist has been in the industry for two decades and salon owner for over 16 years. Amy has had the opportunity to work with some of the most influential hairdressers & colorists in the industry. Not only has she had the opportunity to learn from other amazing hairdressers & share her knowledge and mentor her own team, she has had the opportunity to share color education with other hairdressers for the past decade.

Throughout her career, KJ has had the privilege of winning awards, judging competitions, and working with celebrities. Additionally, she has shared her expertise on TV in various states, where she has focused on educating viewers about current trends and essential tips and tricks in the hairstyling field. Her commitment to education continues to be the driving force behind her enduring love for this ever-evolving profession.

Eric Moon is a seasoned educator, platform artist, and salon owner who has taught in NYC, LA, and London. Eric brings a relatable and fun teaching approach that combines his knowledge of the artistic and scientific aspects of hair color. He believes that understanding the "why" of hair color unlocks the door to confidence in formulation and technique. Eric loves photography and fashion. Editorial print magazines are his favorite for the way the images push the creative boundaries, however, he also loves the classic and effortless lived-in looks that suit our everyday salon clients.

Cares believes that art and hair are one and the same. Pivoting from Fine Arts studies, she launched her hairdressing career in New York City. After spending years between Manhattan and Beverly Hills, she headed to San Francisco where she held the title of Assistant Director of Color, and then as Master Color Educator for 15 years. Cares has been on stage nationally and globally. Throughout her career, she has won various awards and accolades, along with her work being featured on the pages of the Los Angeles Times, San Francisco Chronicle, as well as Modern Salon, Beauty Launchpad, BehindTheChair.Com, American Salon and more.

She studied French Balayage techniques at the renowned Jacques Dessange Institute in Paris and had the opportunity to develop balayage programs throughout her career. She has 30 year's experience behind the chair and has worked with over a dozen hair color brands. Cares specializes in dimensional balayage, reds, creative color and is known for her distinctive knife based highlighting technique.

Today, she continues to travel for collaborations and photoshoots with other influencers in the industry. It was her love for the hair industry and education that led her to join the R+COLOR Educator team in 2023, where she hopes to continue sharing her passion for art in hair color.

Liz Wright, Co-founder of Maverick House in NYC, was born to be a trendsetter. From childhood, Liz has been a creator in every aspect of life, from classical voice training to making her own clothes and fulfilling her purpose as a leader in the hair industry. Liz credits her first mentor Jordan Schwartz with staying true to her heart and soul as an artist.

An educator for over a decade, Liz believes that training others is the best way to learn herself, leading her to become one of a handful of stylists from across the nation on Wella Professional’s Design Team. Other highlights from Liz’ career include NYC fashion week, volunteering for DapperQ fashion show and contracting for Lady Gaga’s ArtPop album launch.

Becky Grace has been a hairdresser since 1997, and is more passionate than ever about her career. With more than 20 years of experience as an educator, she feels blessed to have had the opportunity to travel all over the world with her career.

As a platform artist and educator, she has taught classes from New York to London, Vietnam to China, Chicago to Nova Scotia, and many places in between. After all of her travels, she loves coming home and taking care of her clients in Atlanta, where she specializes in hair color and color correction.

Jared pushes boundaries like a true color alchemist to deliver a unique bespoke palette for every client sitting in his chair. His artistic perspective lends him to the mastery of varied hair coloring techniques through diverse professional experiences. He always had an acute sense of the color spectrum and susceptibility for all things hair.

Jared’s extensive work experience began at a global hairdressing brand, where he acquired invaluable knowledge and learned creative techniques for producing flawless color. His artistry led him to become the National Technical Creative Director and received numerous accolades, including Colorist of the Year for several years and a featured artist for the Behind the Chair trade show.

Nicole is a Color Specialist, Educator and Salon Owner with over 25 years of experience in the industry. Nicole’s expansive knowledge of hair color is contributed to her experience working as the Color Director in Chicago, leading the continuing education courses in a Chicago Academy and working with industry icons such as Annie Humpreys and Tim Hartley. Nicole has worked internationally behind the chair and educating fellow hairdressers and is excited to bring her wealth of knowledge and passion for hair color to the R+COLOR team.

Yvette was born and raised in Chicago. As a young girl she watched her mom style wigs and sew gowns for exclusive clientele. She was inspired by her mother and began to dream and tap into her own creativity and the spark was ignited within. It was at the age of 7 when she performed her first makeover on one of her friends. As the story goes, the young girl had beautiful long hair that was cut into a short bob with a heavy fringe. Yvette’s career was launched that very moment and she’s never looked back.

Combining a passion for hair color, fashion, art and education, Ashley has made a name for herself creating high fashion, luxury looks approachable for everyday salon clients. With 24 years behind the chair, 21 years of salon ownership and 15 years educating hair color internationally, Ashley strongly believes in the importance of hair and scalp health, which can be seen in the foundation of all her work.

Having built four successful salons from construction shells, Ashley understands all aspects of business side of the beauty industry and the benefits of community. She always aspires to support others in acquiring key knowledge, new skills and creating the healthy business practices they need to succeed.

With over 30 years of experience, both educating and working behind the chair, Wendy has devoted her entire career to specializing exclusively in hair color. Her passion is to elevate stylists in their knowledge and technical skills to grow their salon business.

With 36 years in the hairdressing industry, Susan has earned the reputation of being a chameleon, always adapting to her surroundings. Fun fact: you’ll rarely see her with the same hair color twice! Technically inclined, Suz is known as the “Color Goddess”, proving R+COLOR to be a natural fit for her. As an Educator, she enjoys sharing her knowledge and witnessing the Aha! moments.

Her extensive experience includes roles such as a product knowledge expert, platform artist, Brand Technical Talent, Salon Owner, Event Producer, Mom, actress, air guitar champ, and most recently, as Regional Education Manager for R+COLOR. In her spare time, Suz raises Black Swallowtail Butterflies, releasing them upon metamorphosis, in order to help reverse their declining population.
